How to choose an ASUS motherboard

A gaming-range board in a fleet build is a support cost, not a saving.

Planning a build around the board

A motherboard is the one component that constrains every other one, so it is worth deciding in this order: processor generation, therefore socket; workload, therefore chipset and slot layout; memory size and type, therefore DIMM count and class; chassis and cooling, therefore form factor.
