CUI, FCI, and Secure Submission Notice

Public Uniqcli systems are not approved to receive Controlled Unclassified Information or other restricted material. This Notice explains what must not be submitted through public channels, how to request an approved channel, and the responsibilities that apply when an engagement genuinely involves protected information.

1. Public systems are not approved channels

Our public websites, catalogs, quote and contact forms, bill-of-materials tools, chat, analytics-enabled pages, ordinary uploads, and ordinary email are not approved to receive, store, process, or transmit CUI, unless a signed contract expressly confirms a specifically designated method. By using a public Site, you represent that the material you submit contains no CUI or other prohibited information.

2. Covered information — do not submit without a confirmed channel

Do not submit any of the following through a public Site or ordinary email unless Uniqcli has confirmed an approved channel and applicable written terms:

  • Classified information at any level.
  • CUI and CUI Specified — including controlled technical information, export-controlled information, source-selection and procurement information, critical-infrastructure information, privacy, law-enforcement, and proprietary categories.
  • Federal Contract Information (FCI) requiring protected handling.
  • ITAR-controlled technical data.
  • Sensitive security information, controlled cryptographic information, vulnerability details, credentials, passwords, private keys, and recovery codes.
  • Protected health information, full payment-card data, bank credentials, Social Security numbers, and biometrics.
  • Information restricted by NDA, protective order, or need-to-know.
  • Malicious code.

Public solicitations and specifications, ordinary business contact information, and material approved for public release are not CUI merely because they relate to a government customer. The government originator or authorized holder determines whether information is CUI.

3. Requesting a protected channel

If your engagement involves protected information, do not send it in your initial message. Contact your Uniqcli representative or [email protected] with an unclassified description — the agency, contract, data category, and required controls. Wait for written instructions covering recipients, system, encryption, access, marking, retention, and incident procedure before sending anything. Confirm that every party has the required authorization, a lawful purpose, and need to know. Approval for one contract, category, user, or purpose is not approval for another.

4. Marking and handling

The customer or originator is responsible for classification, category identification, markings, dissemination controls, decontrol, and authorization to transmit. Uniqcli applies the requirements expressly assigned by contract and the approved handling plan, and does not remove or alter markings except as authorized.

5. Accidental submission

If restricted information is submitted by mistake, stop the transmission and contact [email protected] immediately with an unclassified identification — time, sender, recipient, channel, and general category — without repeating the content. Preserve the evidence and follow the applicable government or contract incident process. Deleting a local copy does not remove every copy. Uniqcli may isolate, restrict, preserve, return, or securely delete the material as permitted.

6. No certification or authorization claim

A statement that Uniqcli supports federal or DoD customers, uses a security control, or can arrange a protected channel is not a representation that every Uniqcli Site, affiliate, employee, provider, or system is FedRAMP authorized, CMMC certified or assessed, NIST SP 800-171 compliant, or approved to handle CUI. Any such status must be verified for the specific entity, system boundary, contract, and date.

7. Relationship to privacy and contract terms

This Notice works alongside the Privacy Notice at /legal/privacy. Where a signed contract imposes stricter requirements, those requirements control.
