A DIN-rail power supply is defined by where it mounts and what it feeds. It clips onto the 35mm rail that runs the length of an industrial control cabinet, takes line-voltage AC in and hands regulated DC — most often 24 VDC — to the PLC, the industrial switch, the sensors and the field devices sharing that rail. Choosing one well is mostly a matter of matching three things to the panel: the output voltage the load bank runs on, the continuous wattage the load actually draws with headroom left over, and the width the unit takes on a rail that is usually already crowded.
