The two specifications that decide whether a motorized screen works are the diagonal and the aspect ratio, and both are set by things outside the screen itself. The aspect ratio has to match the projector: a widescreen 16:9 projector paired with a 16:9 screen fills the surface edge to edge, while the same projector on a 16:10 or 4:3 screen either leaves unused bands of surface or throws part of the image past the edge. A tensioned screen adds side tabs and a bottom bar that hold the surface taut across its whole area, keeping it perfectly planar even where air movement from a vent or a door would otherwise put a gentle wave in a hanging screen — the difference shows up in rooms where the image has to be pristine and in any space with noticeable airflow. Choosing between them is a judgement about the room, not about which is 'better': a tensioned surface is real engineering that most rooms do not need, and a non-tensioned one is the right, economical answer where they do not.

The last two decisions are the mount and the control, and both are best settled before the install rather than after. A ceiling-recessed screen tucks its case above the ceiling line for a room with no visible hardware when the screen is up; a surface-mounted case is simpler where there is no recess to build. Control ranges from a simple wall switch, to a low-voltage trigger that drops the screen automatically when the projector powers on, to integration into a room's AV control system — and the right choice depends on how the room is run and who runs it. Send the room dimensions, the projector's resolution and throw, the ceiling situation and how the AV is controlled, and the screen, its surface, the mount and the control wiring can be specified as one install rather than assembled from parts.
