How to choose an LC-to-LC fiber patch cable

  • Match the fiber grade end to end. Single-mode OS2 for long reach and higher speed with single-mode optics; multimode OM3/OM4/OM5 for shorter reach with short-reach optics — the jumper, the transceivers and the cabling between must all be the same grade.
