Each platform in the line is a chassis, a board and a thermal envelope — that is what the tier actually decides. Everything the builder then asks you is a choice that fits inside it: which accelerator, how much memory, how much storage, which operating system. Pick one option per group and the configuration is complete; leave a group unanswered and the estimate is withheld rather than guessed at.

The SKU on the right is built the same way the machine is. It starts from the platform's own stem and appends one character per group, in the order the groups appear, so the part number reads as a description of the build rather than a lookup key: change the accelerator and one character changes. That is the identifier we quote against and the one that follows the machine through staging, delivery and warranty.

The figure beside it is a budgetary estimate and it behaves conservatively on purpose. It is the platform's own figure plus the difference each choice makes — and if any component in the chain has no current figure, the whole estimate says so instead of quietly leaving that component out. A subtotal that silently omits a part is worse than no subtotal at all, because it looks finished.

A component list is not a workload. Whether a build is right depends on what it has to run — model size and precision for machine-learning work, dataset size and residency for analytics, project length and codec for media, licence entitlements for simulation and CAD. Those set memory, accelerator class and storage far more decisively than a preference does, which is why the follow-up asks about the work rather than the parts.

The room is the other half. Power draw, circuit availability, rack depth and units, airflow and acoustic tolerance, and whether the machine sits under a desk, in a comms cupboard or in a datacenter — all of it is scoped before anything is quoted. It is also where the larger tiers stop being a single box: multi-accelerator and cluster builds carry interconnect, power and cooling as design decisions, not options on a form.

Then there is everything around the machine. Operating system and application licensing, imaging and standard-build configuration, asset tagging, warranty term and on-site response, and end-of-life disposal for what it replaces — Uniqcli quotes those on the same document as the hardware rather than leaving them to someone else.
