Overview
The B160-100-CSI RGB Component Video + Audio over IP Extender Receiver works with a Tripp Lite B160-Series transmitter (sold separately) to extend and distribute component video + stereo audio, RS-232 serial and IR (infrared) remote signals from the source to the display located up to 328 feet (100 meters) away, which is more than 200 feet farther than a traditional Cat5e/6 solution. By adding a chain of low-cost unmanaged network switches, such as Tripp Lite's NG5, you can continue extending the distance between source and display up to 328 feet per switch.
Create a multi-in, multi-out installation with up to 64 transmitters and 255 receivers by connecting dedicated managed Ethernet network switches with Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP), such as Tripp Lite's NSS-G16D2. With a compatible B160-Series transmitter, this receiver works with any analog or digital source, including HDMI, VGA and DisplayPort?, allowing you to mix and match technologies and use existing source devices. An IGMP-enabled switch will let you manage all connections for centralized control over which sources show on which displays.
The B160-100-CSI supports video resolutions up to 1080i. It extends IR control signals that control a source, such as a Blu-ray? player, from a remote display, as well as RS-232 signals at serial baud rates up to 57600 Bps. It mounts to a wall, rack or pole using the included hardware.

More from the Manufacturer
Distributes HDMI/DVI A/V, Serial and IR Control Signals over Cat5e/6 Cabling
The B160-001-HDSI HDMI/DVI over IP Extender Transmitter works with a Tripp Lite B160-Series receiver (sold separately) to extend and distribute HDMI or DVI audio/video, RS-232 serial and IR (infrared) remote signals up to 328 feet (100 meters).
Typical Applications
Keep your content source in a secure location with displays located elsewhere for viewing by the intended audience
Create an easily updatable video board communicating dynamic information
Display arrivals, departures and up-to-the-minute information in an airport or train station
Duplicate audio/video content across multiple displays, show different content on multiple screens or create an impressive video wall made up of many monitors
Extend content using source and display equipment you already own
Point-to-Point Installations Beyond Conventional Limits
Place your computer, tablet, DVD player, Blu-ray player or other source in a secure, out-of-the-way location. With just a single transmitter and receiver, your monitor, TV or projector can be located up to 328 feet away...that’s more than 200 feet farther than a traditional Cat5e/6 solution.
Increase Distances with an Ethernet Switch
If you need to extend the distance between your source and display in a point-to-point installation, it’s easy to do so. Simply add an inexpensive network switch, such as Tripp Lite’s NG5. The switch allows you to extend the range of your installation by an additional 328 feet. To add yet another 328 feet, simply cascade another switch.
Scale Up to a Multi-In, Multi-Out Installation
You can create an installation featuring multiple sources and displays by including a dedicated managed Ethernet network switch with IGMP, such as Tripp Lite’s NSS-G16D2. By adding multiple managed switches, you can have as many as 64 transmitters and 255 receivers. The IGMP-enabled switch will let you manage all connections for centralized control over which sources show on which displays. Mix and match multiple analog and digital technologies simply by choosing the appropriate transmitters and receivers.
Plug-and-Play Extender Transmitter Comes Ready to Connect Right Away
The B160-001-HDSI supports video resolutions up to 1920 x 1080, though it’s limited to the maximum resolution of the receiver. It mounts to a wall, rack or pole using the included hardware. An HDMI output port allows connection of a local display.
