The B020-U08-19KTAA has an advanced on screen display (OSD) with high-resolution VGA video up to 1280 x 1024. It provides a graphical user interface with management tools such as auto-scanning for continuous scanning of multiple computers. Select a connected computer using on-console pushbuttons, on-screen display (OSD) or keyboard hotkey commands. Two LEDs per KVM port indicate (1) when a computer is connected to a KVM port and powered on, and (2) when a computer is selected. The B020-U08-19KTAA also has a USB port for connection of an external mouse and second USB port for sharing a USB peripheral, such as a flash drive or card reader, among the connected computers.

The B020-U08-19KTAA supports both PS/2 and USB connections using the 8 included Tripp Lite P778-Series PS/2-USB Combo KVM Cable Kits. Because compatibility is based on common hardware standards rather than system software dependencies, almost any platform can be accommodated. The B020-U08-19KTAA offers two levels of password protection (administrator/user) to prevent unauthorized persons from gaining access to connected computers and servers.

You can upgrade the B020-U08-19KTAA for IP access with a Tripp Lite B051-000 IP Remote Unit. The addition of this IP unit allows connection via LAN, WAN or the Internet for remote management of up to 8 computers or servers. With the B051-000, the B020-U08-19KTAA provides secure IP remote access to connected servers/computers without requiring additional rack space. IP remote access enables system administration, BIOS-level troubleshooting, GUI application installations, equipment reboots and more to be accomplished from any location using a standard Web browser or multi-platform client software. A modem port provides optional out-of-band dial-up access to equipment when the network or Internet connection goes down. The B051-000 also supports USB virtual media access.
