The B020-U08-19-IP has a built-in 19" LCD screen that supports video resolutions up to 1280 x 1024 @ 75Hz, with remote monitor resolutions up to 1600 x 1200 @ 60Hz. You can switch easily between the 8 ports using on-console push buttons, an on-screen display (OSD) or keyboard hot key commands. Up to 64 users can be authorized with any combination of admins and users. Multi-level security enhances protection of data and equipment.

This switch controls PS/2 or USB computers/servers using a P778-Series Combo KVM Cable Kit (two cable kits are included). A USB port on the front of the keyboard lets you connect an external mouse, plus an external USB 1.1 port means you can add a peripheral that can be shared across all connected servers. Supports Multiple Platforms and Simple, Flexible Network Control

The B020-U08-19-IP supports both PS/2 and USB connections (two Tripp Lite P778-006 combo KVM cable kits included). Because compatibility is based on common hardware standards rather than system software dependencies, almost any platform can be accommodated. Connect multiple versions of multiple platforms in any combination, including Windows, Mac, UNIX, Linux and DOS operating systems.

The B020-U08-19-IP is designed to ease multi-server management in data centers, server rooms and other high-density environments. BIOS-level access allows network administrators to solve complex problems efficiently and restore service before downtime affects productivity. An advanced on screen display (OSD) with high-resolution VGA video up to 1280 x 1024 provides a graphical user interface with management tools including custom port labeling, auto-scanning and panel array mode. Users may also select a connected computer using on-console pushbuttons or keyboard hotkey commands. Two LEDs per KVM port indicate (1) when a computer is connected to a KVM port and powered on, and (2) when a computer is selected.

The B020-U08-19-IP is capable of controlling up to 504 servers/computers by daisy-chaining additional KVMs (Tripp Lite model B022-U16). This gives network managers the flexibility to add capacity when it's needed, accommodating growing data center requirements without disrupting existing equipment.

Securely Access Servers Anywhere with Built-In IP Remote Access Capability

The B020-U08-19-IP provides secure IP remote access to connected servers/computers via LAN, WAN or Internet without requiring additional rack space. IP remote access enables system administration, BIOS-level troubleshooting, GUI application installations, equipment reboots and more to be accomplished from any location using a standard Web browser or multi-platform client software. Dual bus support permits simultaneous access for one local and one remote user. The LCD incorporates a grayscale option to improve transfer speed in low bandwidth situations. With an external USB 1.1 port, peripheral devices like flash drives and card readers can be shared on the network.

The B020-U08-19-IP offers three levels of password protection (administrator/user/select) to prevent unauthorized persons from gaining access to connected servers/computers. IP remote access is further protected with security features including password protection, advanced encryption, bandwidth-optimized video and detailed activity logging. Up to 64 user accounts can be created. A message board feature allows logged-in users to communicate with one other and manage port access.
