The Vertiv™ Avocent® AV 3000 KVM over IP Switches provide local and remote management and control of up to 16 servers from a single console. Supporting up to two local users and one remote user, this series of rackmount KVM switches is flexible, secure and easy to use. The Avocent AV 3000 KVM over IP Switches deliver enterprise-class performance at a small business price. The series features virtual media for enabling out-of-band file transfers and OS patch deployments, as well as support for two factor authentication using smart cards or common access cards (CAC) readers. Session sharing allows for diagnostic or multi-user viewing from anywhere in the world. These solutions also include local USB peripheral support, support LDAP user authentication, and AES encryption.

The Avocent AV 3000 KVM over IP switches offer two intuitive, integrated management interfaces. The OSCAR™ on-screen display for local access, and the web user interface for remote management. Additionally, the switches are compatible with Vertiv™ Avocent® DSView management software for consolidated management across the infrastructure.

POWERFUL USER ACCESS CONTROL

Grant access to specified users or implement LDAP directory authentication, and limit KVM access to specific targets on the switch with the Avocent AV 3000 KVM over IP Switches. CAC support with encryption for smart cards and password protection for local users, provides security for virtual media sessions in high security environments. AES encryption can be selected for keyboard, mouse and video signals and virtual media sessions.

SCALABLE

The Avocent AV 3000 KVM over IP Switches is offered in two models. The 8-port switch (AV3108) supports one local and one remote user and up to eight server or serial devices. The 16-port switch (AV3216) supports up to two local and one remote user and 16 server or serial devices. The Avocent AV 3000 KVM over IP Switches provide consolidated management of up to 256 server or serial devices when tiered.
