Tripp Lite's B070-016-19-IP KVM Switch gives you a rack-mountable full keyboard, LCD and touchpad in a single console that occupies only 1U of rack space. Easy to install and use, it's the optimal solution for controlling up to 16 computers/servers locally, from across the room, down the street or halfway around the globe on a LAN, WAN or Internet.The B070-016-19-IP uses inexpensive, user-supplied Cat5e/6/6a cabling with Server Interface Units so you can control computers/servers located up to 100 ft. away from the switch. This switch features two 10/100 Mbps LAN ports, so if one fails, the other takes over, keeping remote access uninterrupted. Users can switch easily between the 16 ports using an on-screen display (OSD). Multi-level password protection prohibits unauthorized users from accessing the connected computers, and a local user and a remote user can be logged on simultaneously. The built-in 19" LCD screen supports video resolutions up to 1366 x 768.Two serial ports allow control of serial-manageable devices such as IP PDUs, firewalls and routers; you can assign individual ports to an IP PDU port to power on/off the server connected to that port. The B070-016-19-IP stores neatly in a rack drawer and pulls out when needed. This KVM console is compatible with both Windows and Linux operating systems, and provides remote access using a Windows computer. Heavy-duty steel housing stands up to frequent use. Simple, Flexible Network Control of Multiple Computers

The B070-016-19-IP is designed to ease multi-server management in data centers, server rooms and other high-density environments. BIOS-level access allows network administrators to solve complex problems efficiently and restore service before downtime affects productivity. An advanced on screen display (OSD) with high-resolution VGA video up to 1366 x 768 provides a graphical user interface with management tools including custom port labeling, auto-scanning and panel array mode. Users may also select a connected computer using on-console pushbuttons or keyboard hotkey commands. Two LEDs per KVM port indicate (1) when a computer is connected to a KVM port and powered on, and (2) when a computer is selected.

Supports Multiple Platforms

The B070-016-19-IP supports both PS/2 and USB connections using B078-101-series USB or PS/2 server interface units and inexpensive, readily available Cat5 patch cables. Connected computers/servers can be located up to 100 feet from the switch. Because compatibility is based on common hardware standards rather than system software dependencies, almost any platform can be accommodated. The B070-016-19-IP is capable of controlling up to 256 servers/computers by cascading additional Tripp Lite B072-series KVM switches. This gives network managers the flexibility to add capacity when it''s needed, accommodating growing data center requirements without disrupting existing equipment.

Secure Access at Every Connection

The B070-016-19-IP provides secure IP remote access to connected servers/computers without requiring additional rack space. IP remote access* enables system administration, BIOS-level troubleshooting, GUI application installations, equipment reboots and more to be accomplished from any location using a standard Web browser or multi-platform client software. Dual bus support permits simultaneous access for one local and one remote user. The LCD incorporates a grayscale option to improve transfer speed in low bandwidth situations.
