DRAFT for review. This page is authored ahead of counsel review and still contains placeholders — shown in brackets — that Uniqcli will finalize before it is published. It describes current practice in plain English and is not final legal text.
Recalls of IT and electronic hardware are issued by the manufacturer, sometimes in coordination with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) or another federal agency. Uniqcli is a reseller: we don't decide recalls and we don't run the remedy program — but when a recall touches something you bought from us, we pass the notice through and help you get the manufacturer's remedy. Uniqcli's website and services are directed to customers in the United States.
Who issues recalls, and who provides the remedy
The recall determination, the affected serial or lot ranges, and the remedy — repair, replacement, firmware fix, or refund — all belong to the manufacturer under its recall program. Uniqcli does not operate an independent recall-monitoring service and does not certify products as recall-free.
How you'll hear from us
If we learn of a manufacturer or CPSC recall affecting a product you bought from us, we will make reasonable efforts to notify the email contact on the order. Any such message identifies the product and points you to the manufacturer's recall notice — it will never ask for payment or credentials (see Reporting Suspicious Emails). [Notification workflow: process — dee decision.]
You can also check recalls yourself at any time: the manufacturer's support or recall page for your product, and cpsc.gov/Recalls.
What to do if your product is recalled
Stop using the unit if the notice says to — especially for battery, power, or overheating recalls.
Follow the manufacturer's instructions first. Most recall remedies run directly through the manufacturer: you register the serial number and the manufacturer ships the fix or replacement.
Ask us for help if you get stuck. We can provide proof of purchase, confirm which of your orders included the affected model, and route the case through your Uniqcli representative or a portal support ticket.
Recalls and returns
If the manufacturer's remedy is a return through the seller, contact us for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) first — don't ship anything back without one (see the Return & RMA Policy). A unit returned under a manufacturer recall is not subject to the standard return window or restocking fees.
