Extend or Split Video Transmission over Cat 6
IOGEAR's 4K Video Extender/Splitter Over CAT 6 Kit is the perfect choice for users who wish to extend or split video over longer lengths than HDMI® cables can handle without video degradation issues. HDMI cables max out at 50 ft, while CAT 6 can extend to 230 ft (165 ft between receivers). CAT 6 cables are more efficient to run through walls, attics and crawl spaces. And, CAT 6 cables are 60% less expensive than HDMI cables and are less likely to fail over time.
Extender Mode VS Splitter Mode
Extender Mode: The major benefit of this mode is it allows you to extend the distance between two devices without loss of video quality. For example, you want to view a film on a Blu-ray? player but in a different room--extender mode makes this connection possible.
Splitter Mode: The major benefit of this mode is taking one source video and playing it on many receiving screens. For example, in an office/store setting, you have multiple monitors that need to play the same video and are rather far in distance from each other. Cascade up to 10 display devices with 10 receivers.
4K Video Quality
Enjoy cinema-quality video. This 4K extender kit transmits resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 @30Hz or 3840 x 2160 @60Hz (4:4:4) with 18 Gbps bandwidth, with close to zero latency.
Superior Audio Quality
IOGEAR's 4K Video Extender/Splitter Kit includes the S/PDIF port to support LPCM, DTS-HD®, DTS®, Dolby® TrueHD 7.1, Dolby® Digital 5.1 audio formats. With the flip of a switch, select ARC for returning audio from compatible displays. An HDMI loop-out allows an additional display to be connected on the transmitter side.
