Cabling and cluster planning

DGX Spark cables and QSFP finder

Connecting two DGX Sparks? Ask for the short direct cable NVIDIA lists for Spark. For four, NVIDIA Sync uses four links to a switch; its separate four-cable direct ring requires manual setup. Tell us the topology and switch model, if any, so we can check the cable and port configuration.

Two Sparks, direct cable

NVIDIA lists 0.4 m and 0.5 m direct-attach assemblies for a two-system connection. We can source one by the approved part number and confirm the connection before you buy. The longer catalog cables below are not represented as NVIDIA-approved direct Spark interconnects.

Four Sparks with NVIDIA Sync

Connect one cable from each Spark to a separate 200 Gb/s Ethernet switch link on the same Layer 2 network. A 400G switch port may need supported 2 × 200G breakout. Spark's port stays at 200 Gb/s. NVIDIA also documents a four-cable direct ring, but that path needs manual configuration rather than Sync.

These are general QSFP catalog listings, filtered by the supplier's stated length, data rate and connector ends. A listing here does not establish DGX Spark or switch compatibility. Send us the exact system and switch models for a checked recommendation.

What we check for a Spark cable quote

Tell us whether the layout is a direct pair, a manual four-node ring, or a switched cluster. Include the switch model and port mode when applicable, plus the required length. We'll check the cable assembly against that design. For a direct link, ask for the short assemblies NVIDIA names in its Spark documentation.
