Tripp Lite's SR42UBG SmartRack enclosures are designed for secure, high density server and networking applications in IT environments. Vendor-neutral square hole/cage nut mounting for guaranteed compatibility with all EIA-310-E compliant 19" equipment. Enclosures ship fully assembled for rapid deployment on heavy-duty casters. Toolless mounting slots allow quick installation of PDUs and vertical cable managers. Adjustable mounting rails include an easy-view depth index. Integrated baying tabs facilitate combining enclosures in rows. Plexiglass front door, vented back door and side panels provide safe, convenient service access. SmartRack enclosures hold up to 3000 lbs and support cooling, cable management, power distribution and monitoring features. Easy Equipment Installation and Secure Equipment Access

The SR42UBG is compatible with all standard 19-inch rack equipment and is designed to simplify equipment installation. It features front and rear pairs of vertical rails with non-threaded square mounting holes. The rails are adjustable in quarter-inch increments to accommodate equipment depths from 4 inch to 37 inch Adjustment is quick and convenient—simply unscrew the rails, slide them to the desired depth and replace the screws. Each rack space within the enclosure is numbered for easy reference, and equipment mounting hardware is included.

The SR42UBG features a locking, reversible front door with a full-length acrylic window. The window also helps to reduce acoustic noise while adding visual flair to your installation. Locking, removable side panels have a half-size design for ease of removal and reinstallation. The back door also locks and is reversible and has a split design to reduce the amount of clearance needed. The rack prevents unauthorized access to installed equipment, making it easy for authorized personnel to perform inspections, maintenance and equipment replacement.

Efficient Airflow, Proper Grounding and Pre-installed Casters

The rear door and removable top panel of the SR42UBG have built-in vents designed to help remove warm air from the enclosure and draw in cool air. In addition, the top panel’s cable routing ports eliminate cable clutter, and the open bottom facilitates cable access and promotes proper airflow. All installed components are grounded to the enclosure’s frame. Front and rear threaded grounding points are provided for connection to the facility earth ground with a user-supplied grounding wire.

To simplify deployment, the SR42UBG comes with four pre-installed casters. The rack can be maneuvered easily into the desired location, then secured in place by adjusting the unit’s levelers. Note: the casters are intended for minor position adjustments within the final installation area only and are not designed for moving the enclosure over long distances.
