IRF stacking enables virtual resilient switching fabrics, where two to nine switches can perform as a single L2 switch and L3 router. IRF stacking with stacking bandwidth of up to 80 GB/s enhances performance and reliability with uninterrupted L2 switching and L3 forwarding.
