Reliable Battery Backup, AVR and Robust Surge Suppression for AC & TEL/Ethernet

UPS battery backup support enables you to work through short power failures, and provides time to save files and perform an orderly system shutdown in case of a prolonged blackout. The SMART550USB’s internal battery provides 30 minutes of backup power for a basic desktop PC, 14.8 minutes for a half-load (150 watts) and 4.6 minutes of battery support for a full load (300 watts). During normal operation, incoming utility power keeps the UPS battery fully charged so that backup power will always be available when needed.

AVR protects connected equipment from incremental hardware damage, data loss and performance problems that can be caused by low-voltage conditions, commonly known as brownouts. The SMART550USB corrects brownouts as low as 89V to nominal 120V computer-grade power to all connected components without consuming battery power.

A sudden power surge or spike on a phone or network line can damage or destroy electronic components and wipe out irreplaceable data. The SMART550USB’s 480-joule surge suppression rating protects connected components and data from the harmful effects of power surges. One set of tel/Ethernet (RJ45) jacks provide dataline surge protection for a standard phone or network connection (cable included).
