The DRFM12 upgrades are registered memory modules (the 256GB kit contains LRDIMMs), which conform to JEDEC's DDR4, PC4-2400T standard. One EEPROM is used for Serial Presence Detect and a combination register/PLL, with Address and Command Parity is also used.
