Overview
The Vertiv Geist Switched Rack PDU VP8941 is a 30A, 208V 0U vertical rack power distribution unit (PDU) with input power monitoring and outlet level switching. The VP8941 has 20 IEC C13 and 4 IEC C19 locking receptacles and a NEMA L6-30P plug providing 4.9kW of power capacity. This Switched rPDU allows you to turn off receptacles to avoid accidental overloads and power cycle equipment remotely to reboot unresponsive critical IT equipment. The hot-swappable Interchangeable Monitoring Device (IMD) displays current on the local LED display. It also supports Visible Light Communication (VLC) technology so you can view complete power usage data from a mobile device with the Vertiv rPDU Scanner application. The IMD includes ports for serial communication, environmental monitoring, and dual ethernet ports. The Vertiv Geist Monitored Rack PDU provides local and remote input power monitoring to help users get quick access to power usage data to evaluate trends and maximize uptime. The Vertiv Geist Switched Rack PDU offers remote input power monitoring, as well as remote outlet level control, allowing users to remotely reboot outlets to power cycle unresponsive IT equipment. Users can also turn off outlets to equipment in the event of power failure to increase the runtime of critical equipment. Available in either horizontal or vertical form factor, the Vertiv Geist Rack Mount PDU can solve different IT challenges.
