The SRW12UHD SmartRack 12U Heavy-Duty Low-Profile Server-Depth Side-Mount Wall-Mount Rack Enclosure Cabinet is designed to house EIA-standard 19-inch rack equipment in network wiring closets, retail locations, classrooms, back offices and other areas with limited floor space where you need equipment to be secure, organized and out of the way. Constructed from heavy-duty steel with a durable black powder-coated finish, the cabinet has a maximum load capacity of 500 pounds.Because the low-profile cabinet mounts sideways, it extends less than 25 inches from the wall while housing equipment up to 32.5 inches deep, including 1U servers, UPS systems, battery packs, network switches and patch panels. The removable front panel and side doors lock securely to help prevent damage, tampering or theft. The top, bottom and sides are vented, which allows air to flow freely and keep equipment cool. Convenient top and bottom ports allow easy cable routing.The SRW12UHD comes fully assembled and ready to mount to the wall. Square and threaded mounting holes and numbered rack spaces make equipment installation easy. The vertical mounting rails adjust in 7/8-inch increments.

The SRW12UHD is compatible with all full-depth server equipment (29 - 31 inches). By using a sideways-mount design, the wall leverage needed to support the combined weight of the server cabinet and network is reduced. With a 500-lb. weight capacity and a mere 24-inch protrusion from the wall, the SRW12UHD is a perfect space-saving rackmount solution for applications where there is little extra room to spare for server cabinet placement.

Convenient Equipment Storage and Access in Minimal Space

Access to mounted equipment is a snap with the SRW12UHD’s two locking, full-access doors on each side of the cabinet (for front and rear equipment access) and one locking, fully removable side panel for access along the length of the mounted equipment. The SRW12UHD uses a dual-rail mounting design that supports equipment mounting via square holes or threaded holes. Its front and rear pairs of vertical mounting rails adjust in quarter-inch increments to accommodate equipment depths of 3 to 32.5 inches. Adjustment is quick and convenient—simply unscrew the rails, slide them to the desired depth and restore the screws. Each rack space within the enclosure cabinet is numbered for easy reference.

Vented Top and Bottom Panels and Perforated Doors Promote Efficient Airflow

The SRW12UHD’s vented top and bottom panels of the help remove warm air from the enclosure cabinet, draw in cool air by convection and also support installation of case fans like Tripp Lite’s SRFANWM Roof Fan Kit (sold separately). The top and bottom panels contain cable ports with removable covers for cable routing through the movable portion of the enclosure cabinet or the fixed wall bracket. Both the front and rear doors are perforated to promote efficient airflow.
