Revamping & Optimizing Undergrads Website

The Problem

With over 50,000 Movers and Catering Staff, Undergrads is one of the largest movers & Staffing company based on Charlotte, NC and serving in 8 states in the US. In late 2021, as more people started to move in or move out after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, the website experienced a significant increase in visitors and requests for both moving as well as catering, leading to a high volume of data that the solo database was unable to handle efficiently. This resulted in a slowdown of the website and the workflow.

The Solution

It was simple! Just find the root of the cause and solve it. Well we hoped the same but objective was to address the issue with Web APIs, Automation, Webhooks then create a system that can handle over 20 webhooks and 7 automation(configured as series and parallel for maximum efficiency). Creating a scalable database with higher IOPs as well as reading/writing speed. Using multinodes for JS rendering made the loading speed blazing fast without any redner blocking.
